HOLDENWEEN

It had been 3 years since the last Holdenween, but Placemaking Raleigh worked with neighbors to help re-ignite it and keep this neighborhood tradition alive.

The parade is a big part of the event.

Adults and children get to dress up and look silly!

.

A highlight is the Krispy Kreme doughnut eating contest.

Local, neighborhood centric street parades and celebrations can be holiday-inspired like this one, or invented like the Kirby Derby.

What kind of street parade could happen in your neighborhood?
